By enabling the targeted delivery and controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients at their site of action, this approach aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy while improving tolerability. Professionals work alongside scientists and emerging talents to explore new therapeutic pathways. This collaborative approach has led to developments such as our lead program for the treatment of Parkinson\u2019s disease and a next-generation chemotherapy in oncology \u2014 programs that demonstrate the potential of our proprietary technology and pave the way for future Phase III partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">In 2013, InnoMedica initiated its first clinical development project. Through the acquisition of the Japanese company YAMAZAKI-DDS Co., Ltd., InnoMedica gained access to a nanotechnology platform that had been researched and refined over many years and continues to form the foundation of our drug development activities. Shortly thereafter, the neurological program advanced into clinical development, leading to the first treatment of a Parkinson\u2019s patient within the NEON study in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Today, specialists across our sites in Marly and Bern contribute expertise spanning research and development, manufacturing, quality control and analytics, regulatory affairs, clinical research, finance, HR and communications.
